Who We Are
Amanda Grace Benitez
PRAER is Inspired by my Panamanian heritage and ethical responsibilities to our planet and its inhabitants. PRAER is a women led and employed clothing line that uses only vegan, organic, and sustainable materials and is hand-crafted in Los Angeles.
PRAER was started in 2015 as a passion project to raise awareness of the beauty and culture of Panama’s indigenous people. All of the imagery on our clothing represents the authentic Panamanian-Indian culture and highlights the unique beauty of the mola; a reverse appliqué technique that has been practiced for centuries, where multi colored textiles are woven together to create stunning visuals and patterns that tell stories in their unique designs.
Collection One will be the first release, taking place on December 1st, 2021.
LOCALINPTY is an organization that seeks to provide systemic solutions to achieve a sustainable, social objective through tourism in Panama. Their aim is to provide various educational activities for local Panamanian children and their families, through courses such as English, Arts, Music, Dance and programs specially designed for women.
Is to prepare for the future and social integration of the children of the El Chorrillo neighborhood; through programs designed to teach English alongside recreational and educational activities. The goal is to move them away from the streets in hopes to avoid social risks in children and teens.
To encourage and provide English courses at no cost to the children and adolescents of the neighborhood "The Chorrillo." This will serve as a key to tackle the challenges of the future that only becomes more demanding each day. In addition to this, they provide activities of social interest that favor the less privileged families of this neighborhood.
